Zzzzzzzzzzzz....

Our first purchase for Baby F! Charlie and I are big (actually HUGE) fans of comfy mattresses so we figured s(he) should sleep in comfort too (plus this is where the bambino will spend the majority of time in the beginning)! This is the Colgate visco-classica dual comfort foam mattress...it has an extra firm side for when they are newbies (helps to prevent SIDS) and a softer more plush side for when we change the crib to a toddler bed! This mattress has excellent reviews from all sources (particularly from my bible for the moment- Baby Bargains) and will last for all 10 children we plan to have.... = ) Plus we got a great deal!! We should receive it in about a month or so...I will definitely test it out and let you know how it goes!

I swear I could button those yesterday...

Today marks the first day I had to leave my pants unbuttoned! I've had weird aches and pains this past week that usually woke me up around 2:30 am. Little did I know that these strange feelings meant my belly was about to 'pop'! The picture I posted about 2 weeks ago of my belly is probably half the size it is now...I never knew how quickly I could expand! Charlie is really enjoying the new addition to my waistline...like he said from the beginning, "I just can't wait until your big and fat"....well here you go babe! = ) I will post more belly pics in a couple of weeks.

Other news- I just got a call from my doctor today saying I'm anemic so I now get to take another lovely horse pill- iron! Great! This probably stems from the fact I didn't eat meat or really any veggies for a good 2 months. On a brighter note, I started eating steak, spinach etc. so hopefully this iron thing will only be temporary...we all know what iron does to the body..... tear.

Anyways, we hope you all are doing well! Only 11 more days until the big ultrasound...we can't wait!

The Big Weigh In!

I'm off the hook! Everything went well! Chuck is no longer allowed to make comments about food or try to force feed me! = )

The Belly!

I am no longer able to suck my tummy in SO I figured it's time for the first belly pic! The picture below was taken yesterday at 16 weeks (~4 months)! I'm not a fan of showing my stomach but I figured I would enjoy this later when I can no longer see my feet... My pants still fit just fine (probably because they are all low rise), however, my belly is slowing creeping over the waist line so maternity pants are not too far away! As for the weight gain, I'm doing a much better job eating! We have the big weigh-in tomorrow. I've been monitoring my weight at the gym and I think I will make the doc proud! = ) On another note, I brought an ultrasound Doppler set home from work the other day to listen to the heartbeat with Chuck for the first time. When I got home I realized the ultrasound gel was not with the equipment AND the battery to the machine died. This totally sucked! What sucked even more was we went to HEB and had to buy KY-jelly and a 9 volt battery...embarrassing!!!!! Needless to say, Chuck walked through the store and purchased this alone. I was a good 10 feet behind him laughing hysterically! We finally heard the heartbeat and it was AMAZING! = ) Sounds strong and healthy! We are definitely getting excited about the big ultrasound in 3 weeks when we find out the gender!
