Birthing Class Complete!

We completed our birthing class yesterday....9 whole hours of it! Overall, it went pretty well. Charlie said the most useful part was learning the stages of labor and when you should go to the hospital. I on the other hand really enjoyed the hospital tour and techniques to turn the baby from the breech position and lower him into my pelvis to get ready for delivery! = ) Basically it's a bunch of exercises that are quite funny to watch! We also learned a good number of relaxation techniques to use once labor starts. It was a long day, but overall very worth it!

Oh, one last thing...he did very well with the videos of childbirth and receiving an epidural HOWEVER he wouldn't even attempt to sit through the 'real' video of a c-section...the cartoon version was enough for him! = )

Baby Shower Numero Dos!

This past weekend my mom, Lisa, Crissy, Amanda, Ma and Susie Q threw Charlie and I an AMAZING baby shower! Everything was perfect and we had a blast! To top it off my little sister Rachel was able to fly down from Virginia for the shower AND the day of the shower my dad and Melissa flew in as well and surprised me!! I couldn't have asked for a more perfect day! Okay, I lied. I could have done without the tornado cloud on the drive down! Otherwise- perfect! We received sooo many fabulous gifts! Baby-without-a-name will love all of them...especially the car toy that doesn't shut up!!! (Thanks Crissy!) Here are some highlights from the shower....

Me and my beautiful sisters!

Toy blocks my dad made me as a kid. Now for our son to play with!

Yuuummmy Cake!

Stubborn Already!

I surprised Chuck with a 3-D Ultrasound last weekend at our baby shower! We tried to go on Friday however our little man was sound asleep with his head smashed against that 'warm little pillow', a.k.a. the placenta. We had to reschedule, and ended up going this morning. After a grande white chocolate mocha with whipped cream, he seemed to cooperate a little bit more however we still weren't able to get many good shots of him...he's stubborn already! We just can't wait to meet him and actually see him in person! Below is a picture of his precious little face and Chuck's favorite---his manly biceps! Enjoy!

Busy, Busy, Busy!

We have been so busy lately with weekend events, work and getting ready for the baby so I'm sorry it's been a while since the last update! 2 weeks ago (28 weeks preggo) I was in my dear friend, Cindy Smith's wedding! It was absolutely gorgeous and she was a stunning bride! I definitely noticed a HUGE change in my energy level since Erin & Mike's wedding I was in at 5 months pregnant...there were NO dance lessons for our little man this time. He basically had yummy food/cake and a cup of coffee to keep me going! It was a blast to say the least though and we got to catch up with a bunch of friends we haven't seen for quite some time! See the pic below of the groom's cake...they both work for NASA~so cute!
This past weekend we had our first baby shower thrown by The Days, Celayas and Dyes! It was perfect! They put so much effort into throwing this shower and it really made Charlie and I feel very special! To make it even better we had CRAWFISH for the main meal...it was A-W-E-S-O-M-E! I'm not sure if it's on my 'okay to eat list'...but if not, don't ruin this for me! = ) We have so much coming up between now and when the baby arrives. My little sister Rachel is flying in tomorrow for another baby shower this weekend hosted by our families. Should be a great time as well! The following weekend we have a birthing class..... then 2 more showers the following 2 weeks then my sister's graduation from Texas A&M (whoop) followed by a trip to the Big D to see our nephew who should be born by then followed by one last shindig the May 30th weekend when my mom rented a beach house! Charlie and I have sworn that the month of June will be for sleeping and last minute baby things...no plans!!! I am definitely slowing down and getting large. I'm constantly stopping to catch my breathe. I just can't imagine how I will feel in 10 weeks when we are due! = ) Oh goodness.....
